The ring has an outer diameter of 3.4 cm, a height of 3 cm, and weighs 45 g. It features a classic cylindrical arrow ring design, crafted from high-quality Hetian white jade with a warm, soft color and a smooth, delicate surface. The outer side of the ring carefully retains the natural golden-brown jade skin, creating a striking contrast with the pure white jade body. This craftsmanship reflects the Qing Dynasty's emphasis on "preserving the original jade skin." The ring has a balanced cylindrical shape, evenly carved bands, smooth, rounded edges, and a carefully polished inner side for comfortable wear. The outer side of the ring is decorated with a shallow relief of tortoiseshell pattern, divided into two parts by a raised horizontal band. Each part is adorned with a symmetrical hexagonal grid pattern, with precise lines and exquisite craftsmanship. Tortoiseshell pattern symbolizes longevity, prosperity, and eternity, and is a popular auspicious decorative theme in Ming and Qing dynasty jade art. The meticulous polishing seamlessly integrates the pattern with the jade surface, showcasing the superb skills of traditional Chinese jade craftsmen. Originally, bow and arrow rings were used by scholars, nobles, and warriors as finger protectors, later evolving into valuable collectibles. This jade piece, with its exceptional Hetian jade quality, naturally preserved jade skin, auspicious decoration, and exquisite craftsmanship, represents an outstanding example of Qing dynasty jade art.
