Description: This elegant Qing dynasty scholar's desk screen, framed in black lacquered wood and decorated with traditional inlay work, is 65 cm wide when fully unfolded and 44 cm high per panel, making it a refined scholar's desk ornament. The four panels are connected by metal hinges and can be displayed independently. The entire frame is painted in deep black lacquer with rounded edges, and each panel is adorned with elegant ruyi-shaped legs. The front features paintings of the four seasons and floral patterns, crafted using jade, coral, ivory, and Shoushan stone to create a luxurious inlaid artwork. Each painting represents a season: winter plum blossoms, autumn chrysanthemums, summer lotus, and spring peach blossoms, accompanied by vases, scholar's vessels, and patterns symbolizing longevity, wealth, harmony, and good fortune. The reverse side features a refined black lacquer background, bordered with gold thread, and painted with the Four Gentlemen (plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum). The elegant gold inscription and soft colors contrast sharply with the intricate decorations on the front. The ingenious combination of inlaid treasures, lacquer art, and traditional literati symbols reflects the refined taste of Qing Dynasty interior decoration. This small screen is an exquisite desk ornament crafted for scholars and collectors, combining practicality and decoration. It represents a harmonious unity of luxurious craftsmanship and the aesthetic sensibilities of classical Chinese literati.
