Description: This Guan kiln celadon vase is a typical literati piece from the Southern Song Dynasty, measuring 22.5 cm in height and 9.5 cm in mouth width (including handles). Its shape is inspired by ancient bronze ritual vessels, reflecting the refined aesthetic tastes of the Song Dynasty court and literati. The vase features an upturned mouth, a slender neck, symmetrical tubular openwork handles, a rounded and full body, and a shallow, flared foot. The raised decorations around the neck are evenly distributed and meticulously carved, forming an elegant vertical rhythm. The entire piece is covered with a thick, soft, powdery blue glaze, as delicate as jade, showcasing the famous "jade-like yet surpassing jade" characteristic of official kilns. The glaze exhibits a natural "golden thread and iron wire" crackle pattern, with fine gold lines and dark gray crackles interwoven across the body, handle, neck, and base. Song Dynasty imperial kiln porcelain was an elegant object found in the palace and studies. This vase, with its balanced shape, exquisite glaze, unique crackle pattern, and classic official kiln characteristics, represents the highest level of Song Dynasty ceramic aesthetics and remains highly sought after by Chinese imperial ceramic collectors to this day.
