Description: This Song Dynasty Hutian kiln celadon-glazed molded fish and water pattern petal dish is a quintessential example of elegant small vessels made by Song Dynasty literati. The dish is shaped like a delicate eight-petaled flower, with the soft curves of the petals outlining a graceful and natural contour. The shallow body gradually narrows towards the center, resting on a low, round foot, giving the entire piece a light, elegant, and harmonious appearance. The fine porcelain body, exquisite proportions, and floral design embody the refined aesthetics of Song Dynasty ceramics. The foot reveals a light-colored body, showing kiln firing marks and natural deposits left by traditional firing techniques. The outer edge of the foot retains the characteristics of the celadon glaze, with fine natural crackles on the surface. The entire porcelain plate is covered in the unique bluish-white glaze of the Hutian kiln, presenting a soft blue-green tone, crystal clear, as translucent as jade. The glaze layer is thicker in the recessed areas, making the blue-green tone more intense, while the raised decorations exhibit a bright luster. Song Dynasty bluish-white porcelain is renowned for its jade-like glaze, exquisite craftsmanship, and elegant shapes. This flower-shaped plate is suitable for placement in a scholar's study, as an incense burner, or in refined home furnishings. With its beautiful shape, auspicious fish pattern, clear molded decoration, and crystal clear bluish-white glaze, this porcelain piece showcases the exquisite and refined nature of Song Dynasty Hutian kiln porcelain.
