Description: This Song Dynasty Jingdezhen Hutian Kiln celadon cup with double dragon handles and original floral-decorated tray is an outstanding example of Song Dynasty molded celadon porcelain. Measuring 16 cm wide and 10 cm high, this set perfectly showcases the exquisite craftsmanship and elegant taste of Song Dynasty ceramics. The set includes a deep cylindrical teacup and a matching floral tray, with precise proportions and harmonious composition. The teacup has a slightly flared rim, gradually narrowing towards the bottom, with a small, upturned base. Two exquisitely carved red dragons adorn the symmetrical handles on either side, their bodies spiraling upwards along the rim. The dragon whiskers, horns, and claws are meticulously detailed, their lifelike postures showcasing superb three-dimensional craftsmanship. The openwork design inside the dragon's body is both practical and artistic. The exterior of the cup is decorated with raised, flowing ribbon patterns and delicate horizontal lines, achieving an elegant balance between simplicity and refinement. The matching tray features a continuous chrysanthemum pattern along the edge, and its shallow, concave center provides a stable support for the teacup. The entire set is glazed with the unique celadon glaze of the Hutian kiln, presenting a soft, light blue-green tone, crystal clear, as translucent as jade. The glaze is smooth and delicate, radiating a soft luster. The rim, dragon heads, and rim patterns show natural traces of time and possess a warm, earthy sheen. The cup is made from the thin, delicate white porcelain clay unique to the Hutian Kiln. The meticulously crafted foot and exquisite shape showcase the exceptional throwing and finishing skills of Song Dynasty Jingdezhen artisans. The dragon-shaped handles, hand-sculpted by craftsmen and fused to the cup before firing, represent one of the most technically challenging decorative techniques in celadon production. The dragon image has always symbolized auspiciousness and protection. This type of double-handled cup was closely associated with refined banquet culture and the tastes of high society in the Song Dynasty. This set, combining sculptural decoration, raised patterns, and elegant celadon glaze, fully embodies the exquisite aesthetics of Song Dynasty Jingdezhen ceramics and is a coveted treasure for Chinese porcelain collectors.
