Originally enshrined in a Tibetan Buddhist temple, it was a family heirloom and had never been publicly auctioned. Description: A four-armed Avalokiteshvara triptych, made of gilded bronze, with a magnificent form, accompanied by an exquisite mandala and a multi-layered Sumeru mountain base. The central Avalokiteshvara sits on a double lotus throne, with the main hand clasped in prayer at the chest, and the secondary hands holding a rosary and a lotus flower respectively, with a compassionate and serene expression. On either side stands a bodhisattva on a lotus throne. The magnificent mandala plate is densely carved, featuring a central Garuda surrounded by dragons and other mythical beasts, adorned with layers of scrolling foliage and beads. The multi-tiered base is decorated with pillars, guardian lions, Garuda, and vajra, showcasing exquisite casting and engraving techniques. The base is finely inscribed with the Yongle reign mark. The four-armed Avalokiteshvara is the supreme compassionate bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism. This well-preserved large group of Buddhist statues is an outstanding example of Sino-Tibetan Buddhist art heritage.
