Description: This Song Dynasty celadon teacup stand, 11 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height, was made using the Hutian kiln firing technique and is an important artifact in traditional Chinese tea culture. Its elegant shape consists of a wide tray and a raised, hollow cup holder. The tray's edges flare slightly outwards, forming a rounded arc, extending upwards from the center to form a cylindrical base for supporting the teacup and insulating it. The high foot design outlines a graceful silhouette, with balanced proportions and a simple, elegant style, reflecting the aesthetic ideals of Song Dynasty literati and tea connoisseurs. The entire piece is covered with a soft celadon glaze, presenting a delicate light blue tone with a slightly milky white luster. The glaze is smooth and translucent, with a fine texture, slightly thinner at the edges, revealing the warm porcelain body beneath. Tiny, natural earth-colored spots are visible on the surface of the vessel, telling tales of the passage of time and the marks of its use. The delicate foot rim reveals the porcelain body, showing traces of kiln firing and hand-finished turning marks. Tea stands were indispensable tools in Song Dynasty tea ceremonies, especially in tea practice and tea tasting competitions. This particular tea stand, with its elegant shape, exquisite celadon glaze, and simple style, showcases the refined taste of Song Dynasty ceramics and remains a prized item for tea culture research, exhibitions, and antique ceramic collections.
