Description: This Nansongzhou Ji kiln tea bowl is a classic example of the refined tea ceremony culture of the Song Dynasty. The bowl has a wide, conical "doucai" (enamel overglaze) shape, with a slightly flared rim, sloping walls, and a compact foot, forming an elegant silhouette favored in traditional tea ceremony competitions. The exterior is covered in a deep black glaze, decorated with naturally formed tortoise-shell patterns, rich in amber and brown hues, contrasting sharply with the smooth, natural mottled patterns formed during firing. The interior is covered in a warm brown glaze, painted with finely detailed scrolling patterns in black pigment, flowing smoothly, with a geometric border around the rim. This Ji kiln bowl skillfully blends the natural effects of firing with meticulously painted decoration, showcasing the unique artistic characteristics of Ji kiln porcelain. Its beautiful shape and exquisite glaze are closely linked to the aesthetics of Song Dynasty tea ceremony, fully demonstrating the superb craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the famous black-glazed ceramics of southern China.
