Condition and Provenance: This vase is in excellent overall condition, intact, with no obvious cracks or damage. Provenance: Originally from a private collection in Hong Kong, it was later acquired by an Asian antique collector and has been held in another private art collection in Hong Kong. Description: This large Longquan celadon plum vase is 36 cm high and 5.5 cm in diameter at the mouth. It is a classic large form of Longquan porcelain, traditionally used for storage and elegant interior decoration. This vase has the typical silhouette of a plum vase: a small, rounded mouth, a short neck, broad shoulders, a full body, slightly narrowing at the bottom, and decorated with a ring foot. The piece is elegantly proportioned and has balanced curves, embodying the exquisite craftsmanship and aesthetics of Yuan dynasty Longquan celadon. The small spout is designed to seal liquids, while the large body combines practical storage functionality with an impressive decorative effect. The exposed foot reveals a dense, grayish-white body with natural red firing marks along the edges. The base retains original kiln slag, dark firing marks, and traces of a traditional wood-fired dragon kiln, showcasing the authenticity of ancient ceramic production. The entire vessel is covered in a rich, pale blue-green glaze, smooth and translucent, exhibiting a subtle blue-gray hue. The glaze is deep, delicate, and semi-transparent, showcasing the essence of Longquan celadon. The body is decorated with intricately carved auspicious cloud patterns, densely packed on the shoulder, belly, and lower part, leaving no gaps. The flowing lines of the cloud patterns are graceful, evenly spaced, and varying in depth, creating an elegant relief effect under the semi-transparent glaze. This vase is exceptionally well-preserved, combining the rich beauty of Longquan celadon, exquisite carving, and a magnificent presence. It is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese ceramic craftsmanship, possessing extremely high historical, decorative, and collectible value.
