Description: This exquisitely carved boxwood sculpture depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated on a lotus throne, surrounded by a beautiful openwork wreath. This traditional Buddhist statue, 30 cm tall, combines round carving, openwork carving, and a multi-layered base structure, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of Chinese wood carving. The sculpture consists of four carefully combined parts: a carved wooden base, a layered lotus pedestal, the Buddha statue itself, and a large peach-shaped openwork wreath. The overall composition is balanced, elegant, and solemn, suitable for both devout Buddhist prayer and elegant interior decoration. This Buddha statue is meticulously carved from a single piece of boxwood, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship in every detail. The Buddha's face is full and serene, with slightly lowered eyes and a tranquil expression. The curly hair is finely carved, the ushnisha (cranial protuberance) is high, and the ears are long, reflecting traditional Buddhist sculpture style. The Buddha wears layered, flowing robes, his hands forming the meditation mudra, seated firmly on a lotus throne. The lotus throne, composed of multiple layers of petals, is carved with lifelike detail and supported by a slender, waist-shaped base. Behind the Buddha, a peach-shaped halo is carved with delicate openwork ring patterns. The front is decorated with interwoven floral patterns and lotus designs, creating a radiant sense of spiritual light. The back is carved with simple floral patterns, maintaining visual elegance while ensuring structural stability. Auspicious cloud patterns are also added. This sculpture, crafted from high-quality boxwood, has developed a warm, honey-brown, antique luster over the years. The recessed carvings retain the color accumulated over time, while the raised surfaces are smooth and delicate from handling. Shakyamuni Buddha sits in meditation, symbolizing purity, wisdom, and inner peace. The lotus throne symbolizes spiritual purity, while the garland represents the Buddha's radiant light. This sculpture blends religious significance, exquisite wood carving craftsmanship, and the highly collectible tradition of Chinese Buddhist art.
