Description: This celadon incense burner, 12 cm high and 8 cm in diameter, consists of a perforated lid and a matching base. It embodies the refined taste of Song Dynasty literati and is a classic incense burner from the Hutian kiln. The burner consists of a domed lid and a lotus-shaped base, fitting together perfectly. The lid is decorated with a rounded top ornament, molded with scrolling foliage, and its surface is covered with numerous perforations, allowing incense smoke to rise gently. The perforated design is ingenious, combining practicality with elegant decoration. The base is scalloped, with a raised foot, and decorated with molded patterns on the outside. The interior of the incense burner still bears traces of its long history of incense burning, reflecting its long-term use. The entire vessel is covered in the distinctive celadon glaze of Hutian porcelain, exhibiting a soft, light blue hue. The glaze is delicate, with fine natural crackles. The glaze is translucent and soft, displaying a deeper blue-green hue in thicker areas. The pure white porcelain body and the naturally aged exposed clay further enhance the exquisite charm of this Song Dynasty porcelain piece. This traditional incense burner was used in scholars' studies and elegant interiors, its fragrance slowly emanating through the openwork lid. This complete Song Dynasty incense burner, combining molded decoration, openwork carving, and exquisite celadon glaze, represents the superb craftsmanship and aesthetic ideals of Hutian kiln ceramics.
