Condition and Provenance: Excellent condition; smooth and glossy glaze; clearly visible molded decoration; intact rope knot knob. No obvious chips, cracks, or repair marks. Provenance: Private collection, New York, USA; family collection. Description: This Longquan celadon covered jar showcases the exquisite elegance of Southern Song ceramic craftsmanship. The body is full and symmetrical, rounded and soft, with a wide mouth and an arched lid. The upper and lower parts of the jar are decorated with raised patterns resembling ancient bronze drums. The lid is adorned with a unique double rope knot knob, giving the piece an elegant decorative silhouette. The entire body is covered with a thick Longquan pale green glaze, the color soft and jade-like, presenting a delicate and warm tone and a restrained luster. The exposed foot rim reveals a dense, light-colored earthenware body with natural signs of age.
