The bracelet consists of fifteen uniformly shaped beads, each approximately 1.4 cm in diameter. With its uniform shape, aged surface, and historical features, it is a classic example of ancient Silk Road trade beads. These beads are carved from natural red agate, exhibiting warm caramel red and deep maroon hues with a subtle translucent quality. Each bead features a typical Tang Dynasty octahedral shape, meticulously cut and polished to create eight balanced facets, preserving traces of ancient craftsmanship. Each bead has a central drilled hole, naturally smoothed by long-term wear. The surface displays natural grayish-white mineral deposits, weathering marks, and a rustic patina; some areas even reveal the natural internal textures of the agate. The slight wear on the edges of the beads over time creates a refined, antique texture and a unique historical charm. Octagonal agate beads were very popular in the Tang Dynasty and were important ornaments in the Silk Road trade. The octagonal design symbolizes prosperity in all directions, while red agate has always been associated with protection and good fortune. Complete sets of identical sizes and colors remain highly sought after by collectors of ancient jewelry and historical beads.
