Description: This exquisite scholar's study ornament is carved from natural ancient wood, retaining the original bark texture, rough wood grain, and natural contours. The opening follows the natural shape of the wood, and the interior has been carefully hollowed out and polished, clearly showing the growth rings, giving the piece a rich antique feel. The original wooden base is also beautifully carved and provides stable support. A finely cast gilded bronze Vajrapani Bodhisattva statue is inlaid in a recess on the front of the pen holder, seated on a double lotus pedestal. The wrathful Vajra, adorned with a jeweled crown and magnificent robes, stands majestically, holding ritual implements. The bronze body retains traces of its original gilding and red pigment, showcasing a beauty honed by time. The wooden base is decorated with small, gilded square patterns on both sides, cleverly blending elements of literati elegance with Tibetan Buddhism. The pen holder's overall shape mimics the natural form of a tree, featuring rich carvings and meticulous craftsmanship on the inner walls. The wave-patterned base complements the Vajra protector image, while the bronze casting details are also exquisite. This literati object is a masterpiece, perfectly integrating natural wood carving, Buddhist sculpture, and decorative techniques, making it a truly rare and exquisite piece.
