Dimensions: 49.5 cm (19.49 in) high, 49 cm (19.29 in) wide, 18th-19th century. Condition and Provenance: The porcelain screen is intact, without any through-cracks or major damage. The black enamel base shows slight wear and exhibits a natural patina honed by time. Some painted areas show fading of pigments and minor glaze peeling due to age, but the main motifs, such as lotus flowers, leaves, and butterflies, remain well-preserved. The screen comes with its original antique wooden frame, the original gilding inlays of which have worn away. There are minor historical dents and signs of long-term hanging on the corners of the frame, but the original metal handles are intact. It has not undergone modern polishing, repainting, or chemical restoration, maintaining its original natural condition. This screen originated in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and entered North America in the late 19th century as part of a historic private collection of Oriental art, passing through the same family for generations. This porcelain piece was exhibited indoors and later stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse. It has never been consigned for auction or publicly exhibited.
