Dimensions: 29.5 cm (11.61 inches) in height, 18th-century Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period imperial porcelain. Condition and Provenance: This vase is in excellent condition, without any through-cracks or major damage, only slight natural wear on the foot rim due to long-term handling. The glaze is intact, and the original gilded floral decoration is well-preserved, showing no signs of later gilding or glaze repair. The underglaze blue mark is original and has not been altered. This porcelain was once in the collection of a retired official in Beijing, consigned to a Ming and Qing porcelain gallery in Hong Kong in 1995, and acquired by a private collector of imperial porcelain in New York in 2022. Description: This Qianlong period gilded floral-decorated glazed vase is a top-tier imperial display porcelain produced in the Jingdezhen imperial kilns, representing the pinnacle of glaze and gilding techniques during the Qianlong period. It adopts the classic olive-shaped display bottle form, with an everted mouth, a slender neck, a full middle body that tapers downwards, and an everted foot. The overall outline is soft and symmetrical, with elegant proportions. The entire bottle is covered with a thick, glossy high-temperature glaze, adorned with patterns of eggplant purple, sapphire blue, and golden brown. The three colors flow and blend naturally, and the flocculent texture produced during the kiln transformation presents rich and delicate color variations, showcasing the typical glaze effect of Qianlong Jun porcelain. This porcelain bottle features hand-painted floral branches and stripes representing the four seasons using pure gold pigment. The glaze is delicate, the gilded lines are smooth, and the floral arrangement is balanced, symbolizing peace and good fortune throughout the four seasons. The base is covered with a light blue glaze, with two lines of standard six-character underglaze blue regular script engraved in the center: "Made in the Qianlong Year of the Great Blue Dragon," the characters neat and powerful. The body is fine and dense, and the foot has been carefully trimmed, revealing natural rust. The firing of the flame glaze is extremely difficult; even a slight deviation in kiln temperature can destroy the glaze's gradation, resulting in a very low yield. Among extant imperial porcelain, those with gilded decoration are even rarer. This porcelain vase was exclusively for imperial display and as a gift, perfectly blending the natural colors of kiln firing with the luxurious gilding technique. It possesses significant royal ceremonial value, ceramic craftsmanship research value, and classical decorative aesthetic value, making it highly sought after by North American royal porcelain collectors and overseas private museums.
