拍品描述
Dimensions: 8 cm (3.15 inches) outer diameter, 71 grams weight, late Qing Dynasty natural purple jade solid round bangle. Condition and Provenance: Hand-carved from a single piece of natural purple jade, hollow inside. The jade is a rich eggplant purple color, with natural crystal inclusions scattered throughout, and has a bright vitreous luster. The solid round bangle has a smooth and rounded shape, is intact, without cracks, defects, or damage, and has not been artificially filled or dyed. Over hundreds of years of wear, it has developed a smooth and natural patina and has been finely hand-polished. This jade bangle was originally purchased from an antique jade gallery in Singapore and later acquired by a private collector in New York, USA in 2026. New York, Texas, and Singapore were important global centers for jade trade during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Description: This solid round bangle represents a classic jewelry style worn by aristocratic women in the late Qing Dynasty. Carved from a single piece of jade, the thick, round shape gives it a substantial weight and makes it very comfortable to wear. This jadeite bangle displays a saturated and even violet color, radiating a natural translucent luster under natural light. The internal fibrous minerals retain the original characteristics of natural jadeite, untreated by acid bleaching or artificial coloring. The bangle is handcrafted using traditional jade carving techniques, resulting in smooth, flowing lines that symbolize completeness, wealth, and the auspicious energy of purple. High-quality natural purple jadeite bangles are extremely rare on the international market. Purple holds a sacred and noble position in traditional Chinese culture, and this bangle possesses multiple collectible values, including Qing Dynasty jade carving craftsmanship, the aesthetic beauty of natural jadeite minerals, and traditional symbolic culture. Flawless, the bangle is suitable for both everyday wear and display, highly sought after by antique jade collectors in the United States and among overseas Chinese, and possesses enduring collectible value.
