Dimensions: Individual coin diameter 3.7 cm (1.46 inches), total set weight 482.9 grams. A complete set of machine-struck silver coins from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period (19th century). Condition and Provenance: This set comprises seventeen standard one-yuan silver coins issued during the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, covering five core types: Kuangxu Yuanbao minted by the Jiangnan Mint, the 3rd year of the Xuantong reign (1911) Daqing silver coin, Yuan Shikai one-yuan, Sun Yat-sen one-yuan, and Cao Biao commemorative silver coins. All coins are made of pure standard silver alloy, retaining the natural patina accumulated through generations of circulation, with natural green and brown hues preserved in the surface crevices. None of the coins have undergone any artificial chemical cleaning, recoloring, or restoration. All dragon designs, portrait reliefs, and inscriptions are clear and complete, with no obvious pocket marks or deep scratches, and the edges are perfectly serrated. There is only slight wear from daily circulation, with no signs of date alteration, tool modifications, or repairs. This set of silver dollars was initially consigned for sale by a coin dealer in Vancouver and joined a private collection in New York in 2026 by a specialist in Chinese miscellaneous items and coins. New York and Vancouver are leading global centers for trading Chinese antiques and miscellaneous items. Description: This complete set of seventeen machine-minted silver dollars from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period is an extremely rare collectible in the history of modern Chinese currency. The set includes Qing Dynasty imperial dragon-patterned silver dollars and Republic of China portrait silver dollars, comprehensively documenting four major historical monetary systems: late Qing Dynasty official dragon-patterned silver dollars, Beiyang official portrait silver dollars, silver dollars circulating during the Sun Yat-sen era, and warlord commemorative coins from the early Republic of China. Such a complete set is extremely rare at international coin auctions. The Qing Dynasty portion includes various Jiangnan Kuangxu Yuanbao and Xuantong 3rd year Daqing silver coins, with clearly defined dragon patterns. Having circulated for centuries, they have developed multiple layers of natural iridescent patina, with a soft green oxide layer naturally deposited in the surface depressions. This set of silver dollars has not undergone any artificial treatment; it has never been acid-washed, polished, or recolored, maintaining its original state. This set of silver dollars showcases the development of China's financial system from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China period. Its rich variety of official versions not only provides monetary historians with extremely high academic value but also possesses solid historical research significance and strong collector appeal. These complete sets are highly sought after by North American coin collectors and maintain a stable and long-term value retention and appreciation potential.
