Description: This Liao-Jin period gilt bronze Guanyin Bodhisattva statue is seated in a lotus posture on a double-layered inverted lotus pedestal, supported by a waisted circular base. The Bodhisattva wears a magnificent multi-layered crown. Her face is soft and full, her eyes are slightly closed, and her expression is serene and compassionate. The neck ornament is intricate, with a beaded necklace adorning the torso, and a shawl draped over her shoulders. The folds of her robe are natural and flowing, with vivid and lifelike lines. Her right hand is raised high in the teaching mudra, while her left hand is placed in front of her abdomen, her posture solemn and dignified. This statue is of excellent quality, and the gilding is well preserved. Over the centuries, the gilding has worn away, revealing a rich, ancient texture. It perfectly showcases the powerful and vigorous aesthetic style of Northern Buddhist art during the Liao and Jin dynasties. Well-preserved Liao and Jin period gilded bronze Bodhisattva statues are extremely rare in international collections and possess immense historical and collectible value.
