Dimensions: 14 cm (5.51 inches) high, 24.5 cm (9.65 inches) long, 2.54 kg in weight, with original openwork carved mahogany base. Condition and Provenance: The natural stone is intact, without defects, hidden cracks, glue repairs, or artificial staining. A thick, lustrous, antique patina covers the stone surface, and all natural fleshy textures are well preserved. The original mahogany base is exquisitely carved with intricate floral patterns, showing only minor bumps and surface wear from long-term display. This piece came from the collection of an antique dealer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. In the 1980s, it entered a private collection in North America from Hong Kong. Description: This Qing Dynasty pig-belly shaped ornamental stone is a beautiful decorative treasure, formed entirely from natural geological formations, with no traces of artificial carving. Its natural layered texture realistically reproduces the shape of a pig's belly. The uppermost layer is a warm brown, like glossy pigskin. Thick, milky-white layers mimic the fat beneath. Layers of reddish-brown and pale red stripes precisely replicate the alternating textures of lean and fat meat. The surface's undulations mimic the folds of real meat. The color gradation is remarkably realistic, truly breathtaking. The matching hardwood base features intricate openwork carvings adorned with winding branches and leaves, its contours perfectly fitting the stone to ensure stability. Imitation meat stones were highly favored by Qing Dynasty literati, and in Chinese literati stone culture, they are both fascinating and revered ornamental stones. This specimen is large, with distinct layers, rich and natural colors, and remains untouched, preserving its original appearance. Suitable for display in a hall or on a table, it is a high-quality natural ornamental stone from the Qing Dynasty.
