Dimensions: 30 cm (11.81 inches) high, Yuan Dynasty blue and white pear-shaped display vase, circa 13th-14th century. Condition and Provenance: The vase is intact, without cracks, chips, or signs of repair. The entire body is covered in a pale white glaze, smooth and glossy, with a rich and stable cobalt blue pigment. Natural rust spots are evenly distributed on the dragon motif. There is only a very small kiln mark at the mouth, with no later glaze peeling or chipping damage. The exposed unglazed foot retains natural signs of age, is firm and dry, and has not undergone modern polishing or artificial aging. This piece has passed through the hands of antique dealers throughout Southeast Asia and is now in the possession of a private collector of Ming and Qing porcelain in Los Angeles, California, USA. California and New York were major international trading centers for Chinese imperial porcelain after the Song Dynasty.
