拍品描述

Dimensions: 31 cm (12.20 inches) in height, Yuan Dynasty (13th-14th century) celadon porcelain. Condition and Provenance: This vase is in excellent condition, without cracks, defects, or glaze loss. The entire body retains the original celadon glaze, which is covered with fine, natural crackles. Only slight traces of soil and wear are visible at the mouth and foot rim. The exposed clay shows natural signs of age, untouched by modern glazing, polishing, or restoration. This piece was originally acquired from a historic antique gallery in Hong Kong and is now in the possession of a private collector of Song and Yuan ceramics in Seattle, Washington, USA. Hong Kong remains a major global trading center for pre-Ming Dynasty Chinese ceramics. Description: This Yuan Dynasty Hutian kiln celadon relief plum blossom vase is a highly representative large decorative porcelain piece of its time. It features a narrow mouth, short and tight neck, broad and full shoulders, gradually narrowing downwards, resulting in a soft and rounded overall silhouette. This type of vessel was widely used for wine storage and indoor decoration during the Yuan Dynasty. Both the interior and exterior are covered with the distinctive celadon glaze of the Hutian kiln. The glaze is a uniform, soft, pale lake blue, thick and semi-transparent, covered with fine, natural crackles. Tiny pinholes dot the glaze, naturally formed during the ancient wood-fired kiln process. The body is decorated with interlocking peony patterns. Full, layered flowers meander and swirl among curling branches and leaves, creating a highly three-dimensional effect. The distinct, flowing lines of the relief sculpture showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of Yuan dynasty ceramics. The mouth is small and slightly inward-curving, with an unglazed, flat base. The body is light gray, dense, and the bottom is covered with natural soil stains and kiln rust formed from long-term burial underground. Yingqing porcelain, due to its jade-like glaze texture, is often called "fake jade." Large, complete Yuan dynasty relief plum blossom vase is extremely rare on the market today. This tall and well-preserved piece features clear and complete relief decorations, a perfect glaze, and blends the exquisite porcelain-making techniques of the Yuan dynasty, the elegant aesthetics of celadon, and traditional auspicious floral patterns. It not only has extremely high research value for ancient ceramics, but is also an ideal choice for high-end interior decoration, and possesses strong long-term antique investment potential.
