Acquired in 2006, it has been passed down through generations and has always been kept in a temperature- and humidity-controlled warehouse, never appearing in public auctions or museum exhibitions. Description: This large, round, covered box is a polychrome porcelain piece from the Jingdezhen imperial kilns during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The shape is round and full, with tight seams and a rounded foot. The lid is decorated with a vivid Lantern Festival scene: children play among pavilions, rocks, and flowers, twirling various lanterns, vividly showcasing traditional festival customs. The lid and the outer wall of the box are decorated with painted lotus scroll patterns. The center is decorated with geometric brocade patterns, embellished with small floral designs, and the foot is edged with red scrolling foliage. The base bears a six-character underglaze blue reign mark, "Made in the Wanli Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty," with double-circled regular script characters inside.
