Description: This is a doucai grape-patterned cup from the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty, a court treasure, and also a wine and tea vessel. The cup has an everted rim, a deep curved body, and a low foot rim, exhibiting a beautiful shape and a thin, compact body. The rim and foot rim are decorated with double-layered fine blue glaze lines. The interior is plain, covered with a smooth, milky-white glaze. The exterior is decorated with an exquisite doucai grape pattern. The vines are gracefully winding, the veins of the leaves are clearly defined, and the full bunches of grapes are depicted with green glaze leaves and red glaze fruits. The elegant underglaze blue and the delicate application of the soft glaze embody the exquisite craftsmanship of Chenghua imperial porcelain. The base bears a six-character underglaze blue reign mark in regular script within a square frame: "Made in the Chenghua Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty." The doucai grape cup is a classic work of Chenghua porcelain, symbolizing a large and prosperous family. Extant doucai grape cups are extremely rare. This well-preserved doucai grape cup, with its vivid painting, showcases the superb craftsmanship of Ming dynasty doucai porcelain and possesses significant artistic and collectible value.
