拍品描述
Dimensions: Height 9.6 cm (3.78 inches) Condition and Provenance: In perfect condition, with original lid, no cracks or damage. The glaze is smooth and even, the color well preserved, and the exposed foot rim displays a natural patina, untouched by chemical cleaning. Formerly in the private collection of William Hamilton of San Francisco, California, acquired in the 1990s, it is a family heirloom. Never appeared at public auction, nor is there any record of exhibition or publication. Description: A light celadon covered storage jar in the court style of the Yongzheng period. The jar has a rounded and full body, a short and straight neck, and four equidistant circular handles molded on the shoulder for attaching a rope. It is fitted with a flat-topped lid that fits snugly against the rim. Both the interior and exterior are covered with a soft, light celadon glaze, thick and lustrous, reflecting the understated elegance favored by the Yongzheng court. The foot rim is neatly trimmed, and the white glaze is underlaid with a six-character underglaze blue mark within a double circle: "Made in the Yongzheng Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty". The body of the vessel is unpainted, and the entire piece relies on its exquisite glaze, making it an outstanding monochrome porcelain from the Yongzheng period.
