Dimensions: 44 cm (1 ft 5.32 in) Condition and Provenance: In pristine condition, without cracks or damage. The enamel surface exhibits natural, fine crackles; the glaze is vibrant; the gilding is well-preserved; the back is clean and shows signs of age, without chemical cleaning. Formerly in the private collection of Edward Harris of Chicago, Illinois, USA, acquired in the 1990s as a family heirloom. Never publicly auctioned, with no exhibition or publication record. Description: A Qianlong period famille rose porcelain ruyi scepter, a lucky ceremonial object used in royal celebrations and indoor decoration. The ruyi scepter has a petal-shaped head, a slender body, a rectangular decoration in the center, and a cloud-shaped tip. The body is decorated with natural, fine crackles on a bright yellow enamel background, surrounded by gilding. The head is painted with intertwined flowers, interspersed with bats and knot patterns, framed by turquoise scrolling leaf patterns. The ruyi scepter is divided into several parts, with the interior decorated with lotus scroll patterns and the Eight Treasures, including the eternal knot, the peach of longevity, and the Dharma wheel, all meticulously depicted in rich famille rose enamels. The back is glazed in pure white and bears a six-character iron-red mark reading "Made in the Qianlong Reign of the Great Celebration." This ruyi scepter combines exquisite porcelain craftsmanship with symbolic ceremonial forms, embodying the magnificent aesthetics of Qianlong court porcelain and symbolizing good fortune and longevity.
