拍品描述
Dimensions: Height 26.3 cm. Condition and Provenance: Minor chipping on the rim, later repaired with lacquer and gold. The body is intact without cracks, the glaze is well preserved, and the foot has a natural patina. Originally from the private collection of Robert Cole in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Acquired from the Hong Kong antique market in the 1990s, it is a family heirloom and has never been publicly auctioned, exhibited, or published. Description: A beautiful Yuan Dynasty Longquan celadon plum vase. It has a short, straight neck, a small mouth, full shoulders, and a body that gradually tapers towards the base, giving it a dignified and full shape. The entire vase is covered with a thick, pale green glaze with a soft sheen. The exterior is decorated with fine, wheel-thrown horizontal patterns, evenly distributed across the body, a typical decorative feature of Yuan Dynasty Longquan porcelain. The chipped rim has been repaired with traditional lacquer and gold. The foot reveals a solid body with natural rust-red firing marks and an earthy patina. Plum vases served as both wine vessels and decorative items during the Song and Yuan dynasties. This plum vase has a delicate glaze and regular patterns, reflecting the simple and unadorned aesthetic style of Yuan Longquan porcelain.
