Dimensions: Height 10 cm (3.94 inches), Width 6.5 cm (2.56 inches), Weight 350 g, 18th century. Condition and Provenance: The statue is in perfect condition. While the original gilding shows signs of natural aging, it remains well-preserved, with some gilding peeling off to expose the bronze alloy surface. There are no signs of damage or repair. The base retains its original hollow casting structure and is unsealed. This statue is from a private collection in Dallas, Texas. Acquired overseas in the 1980s, it has been kept on a private family estate and has never been publicly exhibited or auctioned. Description: This is a fine 18th-century Tibetan gilt bronze Wealth God (or God of Wealth). The Wealth God is depicted in a relaxed seated posture (lalitasana), seated on a lotus throne with a square four-legged base. His eyes are wide open, his face is dignified yet smiling, and his body is full and rounded. His right hand holds a jewel, his left hand grasps a mongoose that spits out treasures, and his right foot rests on a wish-fulfilling jewel, following the classic image of a Tibetan Buddhist Wealth God. He wears a magnificent crown, earrings, a necklace, and armbands, with a double-layered openwork halo behind his head. The lotus throne has full petals and is supported by an elegant four-legged base. This Buddha statue is compact and exquisite, cast from solid bronze alloy, with slightly aged gilding and finely detailed carving. It is a beautifully crafted, portable wealth deity statue offered by Tibetan Buddhist devotees.
