New York, New Jersey and Washington are top global trading hubs for pre-Song and pre-Qin ancient jade carvings.Description: This Warring States banded eye agate three-circle ring is a canonical ritual jade form from the Pre-Qin era, carved and hollowed from a single solid block of natural red banded agate with natural eye formations. It forms a perfectly symmetrical circular ring, with finely chamfered and polished inner and outer edges featuring crisp, clean geometric lines. The stone boasts a rich warm orange-red base hue, naturally layered concentric circular eye banding patterns across the surface, with distinct translucent halo layers on each natural eye. Minor native moss mineral inclusions grow within the stone matrix, all organic to the raw material with no man-made enhancement, delivering a glossy, translucent gelatinous texture. Ancient jade craftsmen used tube-drilling techniques to carve the central bore, leaving well-preserved rotational spiral abrasion marks along the inner wall—this is a definitive marker separating authentic ancient pieces from modern reproductions. The entire ring is covered in thousands of years of natural aged patina with muted, gentle sheen, free of harsh modern polishing glare. Three-circle agate rings served dual purposes in the Pre-Qin period: ceremonial sacrificial implements and elite aristocratic wearable pendants. Undamaged Warring States agate rings with vivid natural eye banding are extremely scarce on today’s art market, and fully preserved specimens with striking natural patterns are highly coveted. This museum-grade artifact delivers immense academic archaeological research value for ancient jade studies, alongside wearable collectible appeal, making it a premier small treasure for dedicated ancient jade collectors.
