The vessel consists of two main sections: a flared bowl and a segmented waisted tall stem. The rim gently flares outward, the bowl body is plump and rounded, connecting to a segmented constricted stem that ends with a flared foot ring. The proportions are balanced and graceful with soft, elegant silhouettes. The outer bowl wall is lightly carved with scrolling branch floral patterns, executed with concise freehand carving techniques. Blossoms and leaves stretch naturally, and varied carving depths create natural tonal contrast through glaze thickness. A band of continuous squared spiral patterns circles the inner rim, neat and primitive, while the central interior is plain for minimalist aesthetic. Thick uniform pea-green celadon glaze covers every interior and exterior surface, smooth and soft with subtle matte jade luster. Faint tan glaze edging forms along the rim and foot base from natural kiln firing, a signature characteristic of Yuan Longquan porcelain. The foot base is unglazed, showing pale ochre clay covered with original reddish firing patina and natural soil stains, with clear stacking firing marks matching excavated Yuan shards from the Dayao Longquan kiln site in Zhejiang Province. Stem cups made at Longquan during Yuan Dynasty are relatively common, yet flawless fully intact specimens with crisp carved patterns and consistent celadon glaze are scarce on the market. This stem cup features perfectly regular shape, fully preserved carved decorations, authentic mild pea-green glaze tone, and untouched original kiln marks on the base. It serves as tangible physical evidence for researching Yuan-dynasty banquet customs, an outstanding decorative piece for oriental interior spaces, and highly sought after by Longquan celadon collectors across the US West Coast and Southeast Asia, carrying remarkable academic, decorative and investment value.
