It features a slightly flared straight mouth, short constricted neck, and straight cylindrical body decorated with evenly spaced raised horizontal ribs with neat crisp lines, tapering to a ring foot at the base. The overall silhouette is slender and upright with restrained, clean lines. The entire surface is covered with top-tier thick light celadon glaze exclusive to Longquan kilns. The glaze layer is thick, smooth and even, presenting a soft pale lake cyan tone. The glaze surface is covered with naturally interwoven network crackles of varying density, which have developed warm golden vein patterns over centuries. The crackle texture boasts rich depth and layers, delivering a subtle jade-like luster with soft restrained shine. The bottom edge of the foot is coated with dark iron-brown protective slip, while the base interior is fully glazed with crackle patterns matching the exterior, a signature feature of premium wares from the core Dayao Longquan kiln site during Southern Song. High-quality light celadon glazed Longquan porcelain from Song times is scarce, and intact cylindrical display vases with complete multi-layer ribbed decoration are far rarer. This vase boasts minimalist elegant shape, pure mild light celadon glaze, complete original golden crackle patterns, and standard protective slip markings on the foot. It survives in flawless condition, representing the peak craftsmanship of celadon porcelain from southern China in Southern Song Dynasty. It holds tremendous aesthetic display value for study spaces, academic research significance and top-tier collectible value, highly sought after by seasoned Song porcelain collectors in Hong Kong, Pennsylvania USA and all over Southeast Asia.
