Original ancient polishing patina covers the whole surface, natural grayish-white penetrating stains run deep into the jade matrix with no artificial dyeing or modern refinishing. Inner and outer surfaces are smoothly rounded with undisturbed ancient skin. Provenance: Private collection of a prehistoric jade collector based in New York, USA. Acquired at Toronto Ancient Asian Art Fair in 2011, preserved within one family for over forty years.
