It was only exhibited in private themed shows of Song Guan‑ware and has never been consigned to public auctions.Description：This yellowish‑glazed octagonal bamboo‑joint vase represents classic Song‑dynasty archaizing display porcelain of Guan‑ware tradition. It features flared folded rim, long neck decorated with raised bamboo‑joint rings symbolizing continuous progress, sturdy octagonal body and matching octagonal foot. Thick creamy yellow glaze covers the whole vessel, covered with interlaced natural ice‑crack networks. The rim and foot reveal russet‑brown body, showing the well‑known “purple mouth and iron foot” characteristic of official Guan‑ware kilns. Song imperial Guan‑ware produced court‑oriented ceramics pursuing restrained antique aesthetic, valuing glaze quality and crackle decoration rather than painted ornament. This work integrates elegant shape, rich glaze and sophisticated crackle texture, fully embodying the reserved noble taste of Song imperial porcelain. Comparable intact examples are quite scarce. It carries great research value for understanding Song official ceramic technology and court interior decoration. It suits important collection display and scholarly study, highly valued by Song‑porcelain collectors from Georgia, Florida and Hong Kong.
