It has flared mouth, slender neck, full rounded shoulder‑belly and raised foot. Neck and foot are covered with off‑white glaze with fine natural crackle. The main body is entirely decorated with marbled‑clay effect: white and brown clays are kneaded together to generate continuous layered feather‑streaked pattern with strong rhythmic visual appeal. Marbled‑clay was a distinctive Tang‑Song ceramic technique. Different‑colored clay bodies were twisted and wheel‑thrown so that natural swirling patterns formed within the vessel, rendering each piece one‑of‑a‑kind. This well‑formed example features consistent unbroken marbled veins and lustrous glaze, demonstrating superb Song‑dynasty craftsmanship. Comparable intact surviving examples are scarce. It carries significant research value for understanding Song marbled‑clay technology and northern folk ceramic tradition, suitable for important collection and display, highly valued by ancient‑ceramic collectors from Pennsylvania, Illinois and Hong Kong.
