It was only exhibited in private themed shows of Ming‑Qing Zisha pottery and has never been consigned to public auctions.Description:This large heavy‑weight Zisha teapot is a remarkable Qing‑period masterpiece. It adopts tall cylindrical body form of stately proportions, crafted from rare antique bronze‑toned Zisha clay with deep rich color and natural golden speckles across surface. The lid is crowned by three‑dimension sculpted mythical beast knob with powerful vivid expression. Spout and handle terminals are also molded into beast‑head motifs creating harmonious decorative effect. One side of body features fine incised cloud‑dragon carving with meticulously rendered scales and claws. The opposite side bears fluid running‑script poetic inscription framed by square dragon‑pattern cartouche. A neat square seal is stamped on base. This work integrates clay material, sculpting technique and ceramic calligraphy. Mythical animal iconography combined with literati poetry endows it both ornamental display value and practical tea‑brewing function. Finely decorated bronze‑clay Zisha teapots from Qing dynasty are relatively scarce today. It perfectly demonstrates outstanding sculptural and incising craftsmanship of that era, highly admired by Zisha collectors from Nevada, Washington and Hong Kong.
