The unglazed foot base carries genuine rust‑red firing patina and burial encrustation, no acid washing or artificial modification. Provenance: Former private collection of an ancient‑ceramic collector based in Virginia, USA. Acquired at Jakarta Asian Antique Art Fair in 2017, preserved within one family for more than twenty years. It was only exhibited in private themed shows of Yuan‑Ming Longquan celadon and has never been consigned to public auctions.Description：This wide‑rimmed shallow washer is a representative Longquan ceramic of Yuan dynasty, used for scholar‑studio purpose or household display. It features broad folded rim, gently curved shallow body and short neatly trimmed foot. Thick plum‑green celadon glaze displays subtle tonal variation from rim toward center, covered by fine natural crackle. The interior base is decorated with incised floral motif, rendered in free‑flowing crisp carving with full leaf composition. Central base circle is left unglazed showing brick‑red clay surrounded by glazed band, characteristic of Yuan Longquan production. Washer forms such as this served as brush washer or small serving dish. Even glaze tone and well‑preserved carving exemplify the unpretentious, robust aesthetic of Yuan Longquan ware. It delivers scholar‑studio function, cabinet display appeal and historical research significance, highly appreciated by Yuan‑porcelain collectors from Virginia, Illinois and Hong Kong.
