It has gently contracted rim finished in warm golden‑brown tone, deep tapering body and short foot, potted from typical coarse heavy Jian iron‑rich clay. Thick dark glaze cascades down exterior stopping above rough sandy base, the foot bears old collector hand‑written inventory mark. The visual effect of hare‑fur glaze depended entirely on kiln conditions; each pattern is one‑of‑a‑kind. This well‑proportioned bowl possesses distinct authentic Song‑dynasty ceramic traits. It works both for modern tea ceremony and cabinet display, holding aesthetic, practical and research value. Highly sought‑after by Song‑porcelain collectors from Florida, California and Hong Kong.
