It features shallow body with foliate rim encircled by evenly spaced raised studs. Four freely swimming fish are applied onto inner base, symbolizing surplus and prosperity. The vessel is covered in classic thick pinkish‑green Longquan glaze with even soft tone and pervasive fine crackle. The neatly trimmed foot exposes clay rim showing characteristic rust‑red firing stain of Yuan Longquan wares. Objects of this form functioned as brush washers, incense trays or offering plates. Applied fish decoration demanded complex moulding technique, complete surviving examples are relatively scarce. This washer boasts elegant shape, beautiful glaze and intact ornamentation, representing high‑level Yuan‑period Longquan craftsmanship. It holds scholar‑studio practical function, cabinet display appeal and research significance, highly appreciated by Yuan‑porcelain collectors from Nevada, California and Hong Kong.
