It features six‑lobed floral rim and curved body decorated by six vertical raised ribs running downwards toward wide shallow foot. Distinct turning marks are visible on base, typical for Jizhou kiln production. The vessel is fully coated in mellow deep brown glaze embellished with spontaneous dark brown‑black kiln splashes conveying rustic folk charm. Tea‑drinking flourished in Song China; ribbed floral‑rim bowls such as this served both daily tea‑ceremony use and desk‑top ornamentation. Possessing clear period traits and fine condition, it demonstrates accomplished craftsmanship of Jizhou folk kilns, widely admired by Song‑porcelain collectors from Pennsylvania, New York and Hong Kong.
