It was only exhibited in private themed shows of Song Longquan ceramics and has never been consigned to public auctions.Description:This fine Longquan tea bowl represents the celebrated tea‑drinking culture of Song dynasty. Shaped in classic conical “douli” form with wide flared rim, straight tapering wall and small neatly trimmed foot, the silhouette is elegant and well‑proportioned. Inside and out it is coated with rich brown glaze covered entirely by intricate interlocking ice‑crack crackle. Crack segments vary in dimension with tonal shifts from deep brown to yellowish‑green creating layered visual depth. Thick translucent glaze accentuates the crackle pattern under light. Conical bowls of this type were widely favoured by Song literati for tea competitions. This example boasts natural crackle formation, antique glaze tone and excellent preservation. It combines aesthetic appeal for tea appreciation and academic value for ceramic studies, highly prized by Song‑porcelain collectors from Wyoming, California and Hong Kong.
