It boasts a plump heart silhouette with a narrow constricted mouth, full rounded belly tapering gently toward a wide stable foot, forming soft, balanced flowing contours. The entire interior and exterior are enveloped in iconic thick pinkish‑green Longquan celadon glaze, featuring creamy smooth texture, muted gentle cyan tone and minimal fine crackle with soft understated luster. The unglazed foot rim reveals a natural rust‑orange firing stain over dense, dry clay, a defining production trait of Yuan Longquan wares. Created to hold water for ink grinding, this water pot abandons elaborate decorative carvings, relying entirely on elegant form and pure celadon glaze to embody the subtle, refined aesthetic favored by Yuan literati. Boasting pristine glaze tone, well‑proportioned shape and exceptional preservation, this piece retains the authentic original character of Yuan Longquan celadon. It stands as a highly valuable collectible and display piece, widely sought after by veteran Yuan porcelain collectors across Texas, California and Hong Kong.
