The rim is shaped into undulating five‑lobed lotus leaf edges with soft curved contours tapering gently toward the foot. Radiating carved veins inside mimic natural leaf texture, topped by a three‑dimensionally molded turtle at the center with distinct detailed shell patterns. The whole vessel is coated with thick translucent bean‑green celadon glaze covered in natural interwoven fine crackle with layered aged texture. The neatly trimmed foot rim displays characteristic rust‑orange firing discoloration typical of Yuan Longquan production. In ancient Chinese culture, turtles symbolize longevity while lotus leaves represent purity and elegance. This cup masterfully unites biomorphic sculpture, carved decoration and auspicious connotations with sophisticated firing craftsmanship, soft elegant glaze tone and flawless preservation. It fully embodies the unique biomorphic aesthetic of Yuan Longquan celadon, highly sought after by veteran Yuan porcelain collectors from Pennsylvania, California and Hong Kong, boasting outstanding display and collecting value.
