拍品描述

Dimensions:Overall height 13cm (5.12 in), 13th‑14th Century A.D.Condition & Provenance:The vase is fully intact without cracks, chips, glaze flaking or restorations. The whole vessel is covered with even soft celadon glaze coated with natural mellow ancient patina formed over centuries. The unglazed foot rim features naturally aged rust-red kiln stain with compact dry clay, seamless transition between glaze and clay without acid washing, grinding or artificial aging alterations. Provenance: Former private collection of a celadon collector based in Florida, USA. Acquired at Vancouver Asian Antique Art Fair in 2011, handed down within one family for over forty years. It was only displayed at private themed Yuan Longquan celadon exhibitions and has never been consigned to public auctions.Description:This powder celadon arrow vase is crafted by Yuan Longquan Kilns after ancient bronze ritual vessel designs, a timeless desk ornament favored by Song and Yuan literati. It adopts the classic arrow vase silhouette from Song Guan Kilns, with a slightly flared wide mouth, tall slender neck decorated with two subtle horizontal raised lines, paired symmetrical hollow tubular arrow handles with clean through holes on both sides. The plump rounded belly tapers gently toward a slightly flared square foot, creating soft dignified contours and perfectly balanced proportions full of ancient charm. The interior and exterior are entirely covered in signature grayish powder celadon glaze exclusive to Longquan wares. The thick delicate glaze carries an even muted pale green tone with soft restrained luster, dotted with tiny natural glaze pinholes that give it a jade-like gentle texture. The neatly trimmed square foot exposes characteristic rust-red kiln staining along the unglazed base edge, paired with dense gray-white clay, an iconic craft feature of major Yuan Longquan kiln workshops. The arrow vase originated from bronze ritual throwing pots of Shang and Zhou dynasties, evolving into study display porcelain after the Song Dynasty, symbolizing integrity and refined temperament. This miniature size fits perfectly for tabletop display, boasting authentic glaze tone, standard well-proportioned form and flawless preservation. It fully retains the original craftsmanship of Yuan Longquan porcelain, holding dual ornamental and historical collecting value, widely sought after by veteran ancient celadon collectors from Florida, California and Hong Kong.
