拍品描述

Dimensions:Mouth diameter 10cm(3.94in),overall height 8.3cm(3.27in),13th‑14th Century CECondition & Provenance:The censer is fully intact without cracks, chips or modern restoration. It is covered in even thick pale celadon glaze.A thin natural tan‑brown aged patina emerges along the thinly‑glazed rim.The glaze surface stays clean with only tiny scattered natural dark specks accumulated over centuries. The exposed foot ring shows authentic kiln‑fired rust‑red clay with dry firm ancient body texture.A single extremely faint superficial glaze hairline exists inside the vessel without penetrating the ceramic body and bears no structural harm. This piece comes from a private Song‑Yuan celadon collection based in Seattle,Washington,USA.The collector acquired the censer from a long‑established Hong Kong antique gallery in 2001.It has been kept in constant‑temperature dark private storage since then as a fine Yuan Longquan scholar‑studio treasure.Description:This censer is an elegant waste‑bowl type incense burner crafted at Longquan Kiln during China’s Yuan Dynasty. It features a widely flared rim, short constricted neck, soft bulging mid‑body and splayed ring foot with smooth graceful contours and compact delicate proportions. Both interior and exterior are fully coated with Longquan’s signature thick pale celadon glaze. The glaze delivers a calm soft lake‑green jade‑like tone with subtle restrained luster.Thinning glaze on the rim generates natural light brown aging discoloration. The neatly trimmed foot ring reveals native firing rust‑red patina typical for Longquan high‑temperature firing techniques. The inner cavity is entirely glazed with neatly finished trimming and fully‑glazed base.Waste‑bowl shaped censers were popular scholar‑studio furnishings for incense burning and display across Song and Yuan dynasties.Surviving examples are less common than standard ge‑style tripod burners. This well‑preserved specimen boasts balanced elegant form, pure consistent glaze and untouched ancient firing and aging traces. It combines practical function, ornamental charm and collectible value, qualifying as a museum‑quality small‑scale celadon artwork.
