拍品描述

Dimensions:Mouth diameter 7.5cm(2.95in),overall height 7.3cm(2.87in),13th‑14th Century CECondition & Provenance:The tripod censer is fully intact without cracks, chips or modern restorations. It is covered in characteristic thick milky Jun‑ware sky‑blue glaze with naturally diffused rose‑purple kiln‑change splashes. The whole glaze surface carries original aged crackle. The upright handles and three animal‑form feet remain well‑preserved.Brown‑dark slip coating is visible on exposed foot tips showing dry coarse ancient clay texture.Only tiny scattered glaze pin‑point losses are present from long‑term natural aging without penetrating the body. This censer was once part of a private Song‑Yuan ceramic collection in Miami,Florida,USA.The collector obtained the work via a Hong Kong antique dealer in the 1990s,and it has been stored under constant‑temperature dark conditions ever since as a fine small Yuan Jun‑yao scholar‑studio incense treasure.Description:This miniature censer imitates archaic bronze ding ritual vessels,a typical scholar‑studio incense burner of Yuan‑period Jun ware.It features flared flat rim, constricted neck, plump rounded belly,a pair of upright rectangular handles, and three beast‑form supporting feet at base. The exterior is enveloped in thick opaque sky‑blue Jun glaze, dramatically animated by spontaneous rose‑purple kiln‑changed splashes blending fluidly across the surface, representing Jun ware’s famous unpredictable kiln‑transformation aesthetic.Natural fine crackle runs throughout the glaze.Thin glaze along rim, handle edges and foot tips reveals dark‑brown protective slip,a standard Jun‑yao manufacturing feature. The interior is glazed in pale grey‑blue Jun glaze with natural kiln‑firing marks on base.Small ding‑style Jun censers were widely used for incense in literati studies during Yuan dynasty.Surviving complete examples with vivid purple splash are relatively scarce in today’s market. This piece bears elegant archaic shape, striking natural kiln‑change colors and all original firing and aging traces. It merges ancient ritual vessel aesthetics,Jun‑yao ceramic art and practical studio function, qualifying as a highly display‑worthy museum‑grade small Jun porcelain treasure.
