Dimensions:Overall height 19cm(7.48in),13th Century CECondition & Provenance:The vase body is fully intact without cracks, chips or modern restoration. The whole glaze surface is covered with natural aged crackles stained pale tan. Only two tiny primitive firing brown spots sit on the rim. The base retains unaltered kiln clay adhesion from the original firing process, with thick undamaged celadon glaze all over. This artifact originates from a private Song celadon collection in Seattle, Washington, USA. The collector acquired the piece from a Hong Kong antique market in 2001 and stored it in a constant-temperature, moisture-proof storage for decades. Song Longquan meiping vases with complete untouched kiln adhesion are extremely scarce on the market.Description:This is a classic Southern Song Longquan meiping shape, designed with a shallow dish mouth, short narrow neck, full rounded shoulder and plump belly tapering gently toward the base. It was fired atop kiln support clay, and the original unremoved kiln pad clay remains attached to the bottom. The entire vessel is coated with thick, uniform sky-blue celadon glaze covered in fine natural crackles with antique staining, presenting soft understated luster that represents the top-tier glaze quality of Longquan kilns.
