Dimensions: Rim Diameter 16.7cm (6.57in), Height 4.1cm (1.61in), 13th to 14th CenturyCondition & Provenance: The stand is largely intact with only one tiny shallow natural crackle line on the inner rim, no penetrating splits, chips, glaze loss or post-production restoration. Thick, uniform pink celadon glaze covers the whole piece, covered with fine natural age crackle. Faint natural rust-red firing patina appears on the rim and unglazed foot base. Subtle soft wear marks from centuries of gentle use dot the glaze, with no artificial aging treatment. This artifact was previously collected by a senior ancient porcelain collector in Hong Kong, China, then entered a private celadon-specialized collection in Seattle, Washington State, USA in 2009, and released to the antique market in 2026. Fully intact Yuan Longquan floral-rim cup stands with premium glaze tone are scarce, and fine authentic examples like this rarely circulate within North American antique collecting circuits.Description: This is a classic floral-rim cup stand crafted at the Longquan kilns during China’s Yuan Dynasty. It features a folded five-lobed floral rim with soft, gentle curved indents evenly spaced around the opening. The body is layered with two wide raised horizontal ribbed bands that create a stepped tiered profile, supported by a flared wide foot ring, delivering a low, broad, stable and elegant silhouette. The entire interior and exterior are fully coated with thick signature pink celadon glaze typical of Longquan ware, featuring silky smooth texture, even soft pale green jade-like hue, and dense natural aged crackle that creates rich light and shadow layers. A raised circular central platform sits at the tray’s center, marked with ten evenly spaced small circular spur marks left by the kiln’s specialized firing supports used for cup stands in the Yuan period. The base foot ring is unglazed with solid fine ceramic body, encircled by a natural rust-red firing stain along the edge; clean fluid trimming cuts showcase fully mature ceramic craftsmanship of Yuan Longquan kilns. Cup stands served as essential matching tea wares for tea bowls across Song and Yuan dynasties. This floral-rim ribbed specimen boasts unique elegant shape and outstanding glaze quality, fully preserving the complete technical features of Yuan Longquan glaze application, layered molding and spur firing. It acts as a key reference artifact for dating southern Chinese celadon and studying Song-Yuan tea ritual customs. It fits elite specialized private ancient celadon collections and qualifies for long-term museum exhibitions focused on Yuan celadon and antique tea utensils, carrying vital archaeological dating value for ancient ceramics, profound celadon aesthetic merit and critical historical research significance for traditional Chinese tea culture.
