It features wide flared mouth, walls sloping gently downwards and terminating in short solid foot ring with elegant silhouette. The vessel is fully coated with rich russet‑brown glaze, covered all over with fine aged crackle. The interior surface is decorated with multi‑layer carved peony floral motifs radiating outward from center. Carving strokes are sharp and fluid, with meticulous details for flower centers, petals and leaves, creating rich layered and full‑bodied composition. The unglazed foot exposes sandy off‑white pottery body with distinct wheel‑cut marks, consistent with authentic Jizhou kiln characteristics. Exterior is fully covered by deep earthy brown glaze. Carved Jizhou tea bowls are fairly uncommon today. This authentic piece preserves original Song‑kiln character, carries great historical value for Chinese tea culture, wonderful for display and serious collection.
