It adopts classic Jian shaped‑rim form, rim flares outward with distinct binding line, belly tapers gently downward to thick substantial foot ring, presenting robust and steady silhouette. Thick lustrous black glaze covers the whole vessel. Dramatic kiln transformation generates brilliant interwoven orange‑red, russet and jet‑black splash streaks flowing across surface from rim toward base with strong metallic luster. Bowl center displays complex natural glaze texture, surrounded by radiating red‑black mottled patterns with stunning visual effect. Glaze drips naturally down outer wall near foot ring. The unglazed foot reveals typical heavy dark iron‑rich Jian body. The base bears forcefully carved "Gongyu" inscription, authentic kiln scars, firing rust stain and ancient burial patina are well preserved. "Gongyu" marked Jian wares were imperial tribute pieces with limited production. This example boasts vivid colorful kiln glaze, clear original mark and well‑balanced form. Surviving intact pieces like this are quite rare. It embodies the supreme aesthetic of Song tea‑competition culture, carrying tremendous historical importance and collectible value.
