It features broad outward‑flaring folded rim with subtle brownish edge, short constricted neck, straight cylindrical body supported by three plump short beast‑form feet. The whole silhouette is compact and dignified with soft streamlined contours, fully representing restrained minimalist Song aesthetic. It is fully covered with iconic Ru sky‑blue glaze, soft pale cerulean tone evenly distributed. Thick velvety glaze carries subdued jade‑like luster, conveying serene and elegant visual feeling. Interior is also fully glazed. Three tiny sesame‑size spur marks are clearly visible on base, exposing pale grey porcelain body, this is the signature firing technique of authentic Ru ware. As the foremost among Song Five Great Kilns, Ru kiln operated for a very short period, surviving examples are extremely scarce. Tripod censers are elegant scholarly incense vessels for ancient literati. This piece retains authentic glaze tone, complete form and typical technical features, preserving original Song Ru kiln character. It counts as a highly‑prized Chinese celestial‑blue celadon treasure, holding immense artistic, academic and collectible merit.
